Position Summary:

The Middle for Career and Life Planning (CCLP) is seeking a MHR Experiential Learning Graduate Banana to join their team and help the staff in the delivery of a broad range of career-related services, programs, and resources for approximately ii,800 undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and the Hamilton Holt School every bit well as alumni of each of these programs.

The MHR Experiential Learning Graduate Assistant volition work primarily with the Educatee Employment Program (inside the Experiential Learning Office), while likewise supporting overarching Career and Life Planning programs and career advising afterward receiving thorough training. This Graduate Assistant volition serve as a liaison between Rollins MHR students and the Heart for Career & Life Planning, providing specialized support to them through career-related resources, services, and programming.

This position is made possible by funding from the Master of Homo Resource Programme. Merely current and incoming students in theMHR program at Rollins are eligible to serve in this role.

Anticipated Employment Dates: 08/08/2022 - 05/12/2023

Main responsibilities and expectations include:

Pupil Employment Program:

  • Guide undergraduate and graduate students in exploring and obtaining on-campus jobs that all-time match private interests, qualifications, and professional career goals.
  • Back up student walk-ins and ane-on-i new hire onboarding appointments.
  • Collaborate with and provide aid to supervisors with their job advertisements, recruitment, and selection needs.
  • Co-manage the student employment request approving processes utilizing Foxlink and Handshake platforms.
  • Typhoon effective communications to supervisors and student employees regarding program requirements, upcoming events, and relevant career development opportunities.
  • Back up event planning and program delivery – student & supervisor professional development training sessions throughout the year, Student Employee Appreciation Week in April, etc.
  • Analyze pupil performance/learning reviews and supervisor evaluations, compile reports, and provide recommendations.
  • Inquiry and help implement all-time practices that heighten the value of on-campus employment, raise student and supervisor resources, and improve program management.

Master of Human Resources CCLP Liaison:

  • Serve as a touchpoint for MHR students interested in receiving career support, offering them career advising appointment hours.
  • Carry a needs cess with MHR students effectually their unique career support needs.
  • Consult with the Banana Manager of Employer Engagement to discuss MHR students' unique needs and interests related to chore opportunities, with an emphasis on enhancing offerings.
  • Assist in screening potential graduate-level internship opportunities, and promoting them to MHR students.
  • Consult with CCLP Career Evolution Team to promote programming related to career advancement, transitions, and mid-career industry changes to MHR students.

Other CCLP Duties:

  • Career Development support for undergraduate and graduate students through ane-on-one career counseling appointments and outreach presentations including only not limited to the following professional person development topics:
    • Resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile reviews
    • Interview prep and mock interviewing
    • Task and internship search strategies
    • Professional networking
    • Career exploration
  • Support choice process for mentorship and shadowing programs – serving on search committees and providing insightful feedback on candidates.
  • Corroborate jobs and internships in Handshake, assist with employer advice, and create new Handshake chore and internship postings.
  • Stand for the Eye for Career & Life Planning in orientations, tabling events, panels, etc.

Position Information:

Predictable Employment Dates: Baronial 8, 2022 - May 12, 2023

Schedule: The Eye for Career & Life Planning is open up from Monday through Fri, 8:thirty am-5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend assist will be needed. The graduate banana will be working twenty hours per week. Final schedule to be determined based on availability and department needs.Weeks off: Fall Break (1), Thanksgiving (i), Winter Break (3-4), Spring Interruption (i)

Work Environs:
